Connecting a Community & Care
Conceived in 2022 by Dallas-based HKS Architects and opened in 2024, the new Central Campus facility represents a revolutionary upgrade for Waco Family Medicine. 60,000-plus residents of McLennan and Bell counties had been underserved for too long, prompting Waco Family Medicine to dream big as it envisioned a much-needed expansion. The new facility adds:
- 80+ exam rooms
- Treatment rooms
- Imaging, lab, and pharmacy spaces
- Primary, specialty, and dental care clinics
- Fitness center, a community garden, and more

From the very beginning, the vision of HKS architect Michael Malone included a continuous wood plank system on the exterior to create a warm, natural feel for the Waco build.
